As North and LatAm representative, 37EAST was asked in 2014 to put together a large delegation of Mexican Women leaders to attend the Women’s Forum Global Meeting to be held the same year in Deauville, France.
Then without many Mexican contacts, we worked with former television host and social media expert Danié Gomez-Ortigoza to interview people to join the delegation.
We also hosted a special event in Mexico City at the Soumaya Museum with Cartier to publicize the brand “Women’s Forum for the Economy & Society.”
We were able to secure strategic media partnerships with Mexican media outlets Expansion and El Economista.

Danié Gomez-Ortigoza, the founder of Journey of a Braid, assisted 37East and the Women’s Forum for the Economy & Society to build the Mexican delegation to the Womens Forum Global Meeting, which eventually led to the launch of the brand and conferences in Mexico.
With Danié, we researched, selected, contacted and met with many of the leaders who joined the delegation (other members had also been selected through the partners of the conference or by the program director, Jennifer Milliken).
We also co-hosted a special event and session at the Soumaya Museum in September 2014 in partnership with Cartier to present and announce the Mexican delegation.

The contribution of Danié Gomez-Ortigoza to the development of the Women’s Forum in Mexico was immense. After the 2014 conference in France, Danié became the correspondent of Glamour Mexico in Miami before she eventually launched the very successful social media company “Journey of a Braid.”
Danié attended both editions of Women’s Forum Mexico and was featured as a speaker in the 2017 edition.
