Sponsors, delegates, social media and the press; speakers and moderators, the venue, event production, special events; bring a delegation of women entrepreneurs from Cuba – as Women’s Forum Mexico director, JC Agid had oversight and sometimes responsibility in all of these areas.
He was not alone though; this first edition of Women’s Forum Mexico came together under the leadership of WEFCOS’ CEO Jacqueline Franjou and thanks to a great group of local and international teams, all determined to create impact for women in Mexico. First among these was WEFCOS and parent company Publicis Groupe, led in Mexico by Alejandro Cardoso. There was also an influential and inspirational advisory group; program director Jennifer Milliken and her team; local event company Love Brand, translating company Word Factor, and the Hyatt Regency Mexico City, where the event was held; social media agency Nurun (part of Publicis Groupe); and the remarkable media relations agency Alchemia, “In the Business of Transformation.”
With such committed actors involved, it seemed only right to hold this meeting on “inclusive co-creation.”
The results demonstrated the power of collaboration. More than 800 people attended, including 21% men. Media covered nearly 100% of the sessions at the conference. Many partners expressed appreciation for this Forum and, walking the talk, many of these returned for the 2017 second edition.

THE AMBASSADORS: THE ADVISORY BOARD
I had the honor to launch -and work with- an advisory board.
Each member went up and beyond to make the first Women’s Forum Mexico a success.
These leaders embody the idea of co-creation. Grateful!
THE OTHER TEAM
I first met with Lourdes Berho, the President and founder of Alchemia, a Mexico City-based full media agency, when Danié Gomez-Ortigoza and I were scouting leaders who would be a great addition to the Mexican delegation to attend the 2012 Women’s Forum Global Meeting.
Lourdes Berho, whose professional experience in media and marketing has been as accomplished in both the corporate and the public sector, immediately became one of the very active members of the delegation. She had already pioneered many dialogues on women empowerment in Mexico and was particularly eager to see an international Women’s conference succeed in Mexico.
So not only did she join the Advisory Board of Women’s Forum Mexico, but she also committed ressources and a very efficient and dedicated team, including Selene, Mariana and Paloma, to advise and connect the forum with media and high level leaders.
Alchemia is a multi-platform agency specializing in the development of integrated communication strategies, based on sustainability as a principle of innovation for a better future. Focus is on travel and tourism, innovation and sustainability. Its areas of expertise include PR, sales, marketing and custom publishing.
